WSSU Rams Sweeps St. Augustine's With 5-0 Game Two Win

CARY, NC - WSSU once again got a strong pitching outing from their starter, Seth Reeves, as the Rams took game two on the afternoon, 5-0, for the daily sweep, at a game played at USA Baseball Training Complex in Cary, NC.

The WSSU Rams move to 29-14 overall and 12-0 in the CIAA, while the Falcons falls to 18-30 overall and 5-8 in the CIAA.

WSSU got on the board in the third inning, scoring four runs on just two hits. After a Paul Davenport walk, Randy Norris singled, followed by a double from Ivan Acuna, scoring  Davenport and Norris. Acuna advanced to third on a wild pitch, and came home on a wild pitch. Landon Steiner flied out to left field, scoring John Garcia on the sacrifice.

The Rams got their final run in the sixth inning, when Emilio Abreu singled, scoring John Garcia, to give WSSU a 5-0 advantage that they would hold onto for the win.

Seth Reeves got the win for WSSU, throwing a complete game, allowing six hits and striking out four in the win.
