Norris Earns Second Team NCCSIA All-State Team Honors

GREENSBORO, NC – Winston-Salem State sophomore outfielder, Randy Norris, earned yet another post-season honor when he was named to the 2017 North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) College Division All-State team. The honor was the fourth post-season honor for him as he also earned Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) First Team All-Conference honors as well as the Atlantic All-Region/District 2 team. He was also a member of the Atlantic Regional All-Tournament Team.

This is the second time Norris has been named to the NCCSIA second team. Norris takes home the honor after another stellar season for the baseball Rams.  Norris finished sixth in the CIAA in batting with a .354 average, and led the CIAA and the Nation in stolen bases with 47, a new school record. Norris finished 13th in the CIAA in rbi's with 35. He also finished second in runs scored with 63 runs scored.
He was named the Hero Sports D2 Player of the Year, after fan voting last month, after the Rams finished runner-up in the Atlantic Regional.
