Snipes Named to D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Team/District 2 Team

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – Winston-Salem State designated player Destiny Snipes earned another honor after a great season in 2017. After leading the Rams offense for much of the season, she was named to the 2017 Conference Commissioner's Association (CCA) NCAA Division II All-Atlantic Region/District 2 team. This marked the second straight season that she earned the honor after some stellar performances at the plate.

The honor capped a great season for Snipes. She finished the 2017 season ranked second in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) in home runs with 13 and fifth in runs batted in (RBI) with 36. She finished the season with a .352 batting average to lead the team. She also led the team in RBI and was second in home runs. For her efforts, she earned first team All-CIAA honors for the first time in her career. Last season, she was named to the CIAA All-Rookie team.
