Rams Take an 8-0 Loss at Mars Hill

MARS HILL, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (3-1) could not get their bats going when the team took an 8-0 five-inning loss at Mars Hill (3-1), Sunday afternoon. The Rams were held without a hit in the tough loss. 

The Rams could not manage a hit in the tough loss and compounded the struggle with six fielding errors in the game. WSSU allowed three runs each in the first and second innings of the game with a pair of fourth inning runs. The Rams were not able to score in the fifth to take the loss.

WSSU sophomore Tia Robinson (1-1) took the pitching loss. She allowed eight runs (six earned) to the Lions with a strikeout and two walks.

With the loss, the Rams fall to 3-1 overall. The team will return to action, Saturday, when they head to Acworth, Ga. to take on the Clark Atlanta Panthers in the HBCU DII Tournament.
