CHARLOTTE, NC – The Winston-Salem State University women's track & field team is off to a great start to the season and it showed when WSSU sophomore Kayla Foy and head coach James Daniels both took home Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) weekly honors. Foy was named the CIAA Women's Indoor Track Runner of the Week while Daniels was named the CIAA Women's Indoor Track & Field Coach of the Week.

The performance marked the second straight week that she has posted an NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field provisional qualifying time.
Coach Daniels brought home his first CIAA Women's Indoor Track & Field honor after leading several great performances by the Rams at the meet. In addition to Foy winning the women's 60m dash, the Rams also had top five finishes in the women's 400m dash, the women's shot put, and the women's long jump.
