TIGERVILLE, SC – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (8-22) ended the day on a down note with a hard-fought three-set loss to the North Greenville Crusaders (18-15), Saturday afternoon. The loss ended a tri-match that saw the team take a pair of losses in Tigerville, S.C. Although the Lady Rams managed a solid offensive effort, the team could not keep up with the Crusaders.
As a team, the Lady Rams finished the match with 30 total kills in the match with just 13 attack errors. However, the team committed seven receiving errors with four service errors. WSSU senior right side Francesca Edgerton led the way for the Lady Rams with 12 kills and five digs. WSSU junior hitter Avoni Seymour added a team-high 10 digs as well.
With the loss, the Lady Rams fall to 8-22 for the season and will look to end the season on a high note when they host the Livingstone Lady Blue Bears in a Monday evening match.
