Enshrined into the WSSU C.E. “Big House” Gaines Athletic Hall of Fame for men’s basketball, Harold S. “Funny” Kitt was a three-year letterman for the Rams basketball team from 1972-74.  A member of the Rams back-to-back CIAA Championship teams in 1972 and 1973, Kitt earned All-CIAA First-Team honors in 1974 en route to scoring over 1,300 points as a Ram in a career that saw Clarence “Big House” Gaines record his 500th career victory.  Kitt earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from WSSU in 1975 and received a Masters of Science in Education from the City College of New York in 1985.  A man who dedicated his life to the instruction of young people, Kitt served in several coaching positions that included leading the CCNY women’s basketball team to a Hudson Valley Championship in 1979-80.
