Over 40 Winston-Salem State University Student-Athletes Among Class of 2021

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - It's the most important day of the year at Winston-Salem State University as the university took time to recognize the 2021 graduating class. Among the Winston-Salem State University Class of 2021 were on hand to celebrate the culmination of years of hard work and dedication.

After facing unique challenges ranging from fierce competition to high academic standards and concerns stemming from COVID-19, the 2021 graduating class of Rams withstood every challenge presented before them and they persevered, culminating in a tremendous commencement celebration held on the campus of Winston-Salem State University. Among the graduates were former Rams baseball player Edward Paul Reese, iV and Justin Ross, who both graduated Summa Cum Laude with five more former student-athletes graduating Cum Laude.

Friday's commencement ceremony came as a part of several ceremonies held on campus in an effort to ensure the health and safety of the graduates, families, and friends. On Friday morning, undergraduates of the College of Arts, Sciences, Business, and Education were recognized, while the evening ceremony recognized graduates of the School of Health Sciences.
