CHARLOTTE, NC - Winston-Salem State University Associate Director of Athletics/Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) LaTaya Hilliard-Gray will add another title to her already impressive resume as has been elected to the position of president of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) Association. Her election to the position came on Wednesday morning.
In her role as president of the CIAA SWA Association, Hilliard-Gray will lead the association's effort carry out its mission. The mission of the CIAA SWA Association is the clarify and articulate the role of the SWA on invidual campuses in the conference; enhance the level of institutional support for SWA's to ensure gender equity on their respective campuses and across the conference; provide educational opportunities to student-athletes, coaches, staff administrators, and to offer a collective voice on DII issues of significance to the CIAA and its individual campuses. As president of the CIAA SWA Association, Hilliard-Gray is set to serve a two-year term.
