Colon Named to NABC Coaches' Division II All-District Team

  KANSAS CITY, MO - After an extremely successful senior campaign, the honors continue to roll in for Winston-Salem State University senior guard Robert Colon as he was selected for the 2020 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II All-District Team. The honor comes after a memorable performance during the 2019-20 season.

Colon was a second team all-district selection. The honor is one of many for the Jacksonville, N.C. native. It comes in addition to leading the Rams to the 2020 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Men's Basketball Championship. He was also honored as the 2020 CIAA Men's Basketball Tournament MVP. During the regular season, he led the Rams to a share of the CIAA Southern Division Championship as well. He led the Rams, averaging 17.0 points per game. The best game of his career came against Johnson C. Smith when he scored 31 points to lead the Rams to an 83-63 home win.

The NABC Coaches' Division II All-District Team was selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC and it is comprised of the top players from the eight regions in NCAA Division II. Colon and the Rams are in the Atlantic Region which is comprised of the CIAA, Mountain East Conference (MEC) and the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).
