Florida A&M Blanks Winston-Salem State Women's Tennis 7-0 In Tallahassee, Fla.

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams tennis team proved to be no match for the Lady Rattlers of Florida A&M University on Saturday afternoon in Tallahassee, Florida as FAMU swept WSSU 7-0 in women's college tennis action.

 

The Lady Rattlers swept all six singles matches, two by 6-0, 6-0 sweeps and then earned the doubles point with a pair of victories at first and second doubles and a default win at third doubles as they swept WSSU 7-0 and snapped the Lady Rams' one-match win streak.

 

The loss drops Winston-Salem State University to 2-22 overall on the season with one match remaining in the 2008 season.

 

Winston-Salem State returns to action on Sunday, April 13 as they travel to Atlanta, Georgia to face Clark Atlanta University in the final competition of their 2008 season.
