Lady Rams go 0-3 on Day One of Second Annual Robert Walker Johnson Invitational

ETTRICK, VA - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams got off to a slow start to the fall taking three losses on day one of the Second Annual Robert Walker Johnson Invitational. The Lady Rams fell to the Morgan State Lady Bears twice in addition to a loss to the North Carolina A&T Lady Aggies.

 

Three WSSU true freshmen got their first taste of collegiate competition as freshman Gabrielle Benjamin teamed up with sophomore Terese Lavan. Freshmen Jade Higgins and Laken Joyce formed a true freshman duo for the other doubles team for the Lady Rams.

 

The squad will return to action tomorrow on day two of the tournament.

Aysa Monds / Keshia Holmes (NCAT) def. Jade Higgins / Laken Joyce (WSSU), 8-4
