2019-20: Amique continued to perform as one of the top members of the Rams' track & field team. She had her best performance in the women's 60m hurdles at the JDL Early Bird Invitational where she ran an 8.93. She also ran a 7.87 in the women's 60m dash at the Clemson Invitational. She saved one of her best performances for the 2020 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship Meet when she placed third in the pentathlon with 2,977 total points. She placed fifth in the women's 60m hurdles with an 8.98.
2018-19: Amique made an immediate impact for the Rams…She competed in several events with some great times for the Rams…Her best performance came at the JDL Early Bird Invitational when she recorded an 8.15 in the women’s 60m hurdles…She finished third in the women’s pentathlon with 2,748 points…In the outdoor season, she had a personal best 14.85 to place fifth at the 2019 CIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships…She placed second in the women’s 400m hurdles at the Mount Olive Last Chance Qualifier with a 1:01.92….She was also a member of the Rams’ 4x400m relay team that qualified for the 2019 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.
Personal: Amique joined the Rams in the fall of 2018...She comes to Winston-Salem State after a season at the University of New Mexico-Highlands where she was a member of the RMAC Champions and was a member of the 4x100m All-American team....She is a 2017 graduate of Excelsior High School where she was honored as the CSEC Top Achiever in 2015 and she was the Grade 10 Top Achiever in 2014...She is an Exercise Science major and she is the daughter of Angella Gayle and Derrick Willis.
