Cierra Pridgen joined the Winston-Salem State University track and field program in the fall of 2021. She returns to Winston-Salem State University after four successful years as a student-athlete with the Rams. As an alumnus, Pridgen will bring strong knowledge and passion to the program.

While at Winston-Salem State, Pridgen collected multiple accolades and served as a top sprinter for the program. In 2017, Pridgen assisted the Rams to the institution's first Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships. In 2019, Pridgen led the Rams to the second CIAA Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships while placing first in the Women’s 100-meter dash. In 2017 and 2020, she received All-American and All-Academic honors. Throughout her four strong years with the Rams, Pridgen was a four-time All-CIAA selection. In addition to a strong athletic career, Pridgen was a scholar student.

Pridgen is a 2020 graduate of Winston-Salem State University where she earned a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Healthcare Management
